VE Day beacon lighting 8th May 2025

Chelmsford Garden Community Council will be commemorating the exact date of the end of World War II with the lighting of the beacon at Channels Park on 8th May 2025.

The event will commence at 9pm with the beacon lighting taking place at 9.30pm.  The Mayor of Chelmsford will be in attendance to provide a short speech and the Salvation Army band will be playing.

No tickets required so please feel free to just come along to Channels Park and watch the event including the lighting of the beacon.

We hope you will be able to walk to the event but if needed car parking facilities can be found in the car park of Falcon Bowls club CM3 3FB.
