Chelmsford Garden Community Council is committed to supporting the Community to address issues of crime and anti-social behaviour.

The most important message is that if you are aware of a crime or matter where the Police could assist Please report it to the Police – unless the Police are aware they can’t take any action and if a pattern of behaviour emerges the Police can commit more resources to our community.

How to report

If your issue is an emergency or risk to life please dial 999 immediately.

For non-emergencies there are a range of options:

Telephone 101

Report online direct to Essex Police which is available 24/7

Use the online chat function (the blue button) on the Essex Police website which is available during normal working hours

Anti-social behaviour can also be reported to the Community Safety Team at Chelmsford City Council

If you witness an incident on the road and have dashcam footage you can always upload it to the Extra Eyes website where action can be taken.

You can report a crime anonymously or provide information via Crimestoppers

Fraud can be reported to Action fraud

Events

From time to time the Council organises community events with our local Police officers so do take a look on the events page for any forthcoming events where you will be able to meet our local Police officers.

Community Speed watch

Why not help address the issue of speeding traffic in the Parish by volunteering for the local Community speed watch group – all the information can be found below.
