Chelmsford Garden Community Council is working on a number of health and wellbeing initiatives in accordance with its agreed plan which you can view below. It would also like to bring to your attention the following useful services:
Mid Essex Recovery College
The College runs free courses and workshops and provides a safe space for people to learn new skills, expand on existing ones, and attend courses developed to support mental health recovery. Courses are available to anyone within the Mid Essex area who have experienced or are experiencing mental health challenges themselves, who are supporting another person with their mental health challenges or who want to learn more about the topics covered.

Essex Child and Family Wellbeing service
The family hub enables you to access free, friendly and high-quality health services in your community, school, online or family home. Sessions are offered to support your child’s development and build strong parent-child relationships.
Family Hubs ensure that children, young people and families (0-19 years or up to 25 years if SEND) can access integrated early support. You can view the current timetable of events below.
Intensive Dementia Support
Manor Lodge Care Home, Chelmsford offers information sessions and activities for people in the Community who wish to either understand more about dementia or are living with dementia and you can find out more at the Manor Lodge website.
Belong Women’s Programme
The programme is life coaching for women seeking to live life to the full and gain a stronger sense of belonging – within themselves, their communities, and the world around them. It will commence on 13th January 2025 and continues for 12 sessions and more information can be found in the leaflet below. Booking is via Event Brite at this link
